Our History
Project Aim:
'The aim of the project is to acquire the former Gorebridge Police Station Building as a base for Gorebridge Community Cares to set up a centre for families and young people to promote emotional, physical and mental well-being, in a holistic and friendly environment that includes informal learning skills within our community of Gorebridge'
Gorebridge Community Cares purchased the former Gorebridge police station building through a Community Asset Transfer, funded by a grant from the Scottish Government’s Scottish Land Fund. We are indebted to our former Chair Ellen Scott who worked tirelessly to secure funding and create the facilities and services that make the hive the thriving centre that it is today
