Bizzee Hands Craft Club

Crafting Genius!

Our dedicated volunteers from our craft club have been making beautiful items for groups across the community. Hats, gloves, scarves and cuffs have been recently donated to all of the primary schools within Gorebridge and hats booties and gloves delivered to Simpson Maternity Unit. The group have also donated blankets and dementia cuffs to Newbyres care home. Dementia cuffs are knitted hand-warmers that provide sensory stimulation for people living with dementia, by comforting and soothing when anxious and provides excellent sensory stimulation.

Our wonderful volunteers have been working hard in the garage to sort and organise donations of childrens clothing and toys. Not so much a rummage these days, more like a boutique!

Class Acts

Our Class Acts’ group is one of the highlights of our week. The group involves informal learning with cooking, face painting lessons, drama and craft making. We want to give our children confidence vision and a new narrative as they transition from primary to secondary
