Born from the potential closure of Gorebridge Leisure Centre/Library we are a small and friendly charity. Our aims are to create solutions and opportunities to remove inequalities and poverty and through positive action, make our community a happier and healthier place to live.
Our dedicated volunteers from our craft club have been making beautiful items for groups across the community. Hats, gloves, scarves and cuffs have been recently donated to all of the primary schools within Gorebridge and hats booties and gloves delivered to Simpson Maternity Unit. The group have also donated blankets and dementia cuffs to Newbyres care home. Dementia cuffs are knitted hand-warmers that provide sensory stimulation for people living with dementia, by comforting and soothing when anxious and provides excellent sensory stimulation.
