Project Aim:

This project will deliver cooking, "talking and doing" and informal educational workshops to veterans, Armed Forces personnel, their families, partners and the wider community. The aim is to improve physical and mental health and employment opportunities through cooking, communication, positive listening skills and building confidence in a friendly, holistic environment.

 

A Community Asset Transfer for Gorebridge Police Station.  We are delighted to have acquired the land and building through Grant Funding from the Scottish Land Fund.   

 

Project Aim:

The aim of the project is to acquire the Gorebridge Police Station Building as a base for GCC to set up a centre for families and young people to promote emotional, physical and mental well-being, in a holistic and friendly environment that includes informal learning skills within our community of Gorebridge

Monthly Hero Award to Gorebridge Primary School for their work in PooDunnit? Dog Poo Detective Campaign. St Andrew's Primary School also won an award as did Gorebridge Community Cares for organising the Campaign.

We have started a Parent/Carer Support Group to help families with ADHD, Autism or behavioural issues, diagnosed or not
St David's Brass Band help at the Santa Event and also at the Christmas Light Switch on
Children and parents who took part in our Food from Around the World Workshops - they had a great time.
